On every report, one of three Results will be called:
NDI - No Deception Indicated; the subject was being truthful as there was no significant reaction to the Relevant Questions
DI - Deception Indicated; the subject was not being truthful as there were significant reaction to the Relevant Questions.
Inconclusive - This result is rarely achieved with VSA - this area is designed for the polygraph industry; to prevent false positives and false negatives so that conclusive results will have high reliability and validity.
PLEASE NOTE:
A DI result does not guarantee that the subject committed the act, rather it guarantees that the subject showed significant reaction to the questions asked - which signals that further investigation and interview with the subject should be entered into.
